The Rosa story
I came back from maternity leave and fell into the trap of thinking more output meant more worth.
I couldn't switch off, and I was defining my whole worth by one role. Working harder wasn't the answer. Rebuilding was, on my own terms.
Rosa was my grandmother. Mum of eight, Gran to twenty, and somehow she held all of us together, with laughter, love and warmth, and always had time for every single one of us. She gave everything to everyone and never lost her colour doing it.
I nearly did. Flamingos take their colour from what feeds them. Give everything away, feed yourself nothing, and it fades. Letting go is where I started rebuilding my way back to myself… and my colour. My rosa.
